Qualifications for Membership
Any legal and qualified voter of Virginia within the City of Lynchburg, Bedford County, Campbell County, Amherst County, and Appomattox County, who is at least eighteen (18) years of age, but not yet forty-one (41) years of age, who is not a member of a College Republicans club or another Young Republicans club, who is in accord with the principles of the Republican Party, and who if requested by at least two members, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required their intent to support the objectives of LAYR as stated in Article II, is eligible for membership in LAYR.
Membership Application
Complete the application listed below to apply to Lynchburg Area Young Republicans. Membership dues must be paid before joining LAYR and new member applicants are considered and voted in at each business meeting. All membership applications must be authorized by a current Executive Board member, which can be completed at any business meeting. Membership applications are also made available to those interested in joining LAYR at each business meeting.
Membership Dues
Active members of LAYR are required to pay annual dues for a total of $10. Dues are to be paid at or in advance of the annual meeting, and the Treasurer is responsible for notifying members who are in arrears. A member has until the next regular business meeting to update dues before their membership is lapsed.
LAYR currently accepts dues payments in the form of cash, check, or via Cash App.
